Research Associate

Location: SEATTLE, Washington

We are currently helping our client, a biopharmaceutical client in Seattle, with a search for a Research Associate.
Duration - 6 month contract (potential for extension or permanent conversion)
Location -  Seattle, WA - LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY

JOB SUMMARY 
The Research Associate will assist in manufacturing engineered T-cell product material in support of Development Core, Process Development, and Research pipeline development efforts. This position will require experimental execution, documentation, data analysis, drafting technical reports, and presentation of results. Strong attention to detail and flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists in manufacturing engineered T-cell product material.
  • Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity.
  • Builds stable working relationships internally.
  • Receives general instructions for all work, detailed instructions for new activities.
  • Understands basic experimental concepts, objectives, and concepts of experimental design. Knowledge and application of a limited, core set of techniques.
  • Completion of routine data analysis with some guidance.
  • Regular communication of results to supervisor or team leader. 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • B.S. in Biology, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering or relevant scientific discipline
  • 0-2 years of industry bioprocess experience.
  • Familiarity with core industry and lab practices and standards.
Preferred Skills
  • Mammalian cell culture
  • Cell banking
  • Buffer and cell culture media preparation
  • Excellent record keeping and electronic notebook maintenance
  • Experimental design and statistical data analysis software such as R or JMP
  • Ability to adapt to rapid changes and work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong prioritization skills
