We are currently helping our client with a direct hire search for a Test Lead (UX).

Our client is seeking a Test Lead (UX) for their manual testing team. In this role you will have the exciting opportunity to lead the manual testing of the core platform, approaching problems from the customer perspective, learning and recreating the ways they use features. You will plan and test scenarios on behalf of millions of end users.

In this role you:
  • Will be a member of the engineering team collaborating closely with PM and Development Leads to understand what new capabilities are being built.
  • Work closely with and partner with customer success advocates as well as customers.
  • Build test plans based on current and planned features.
  • Document test results and communicate test status and quality results to other teams.
  • Participate in feature design reviews to influence test planning.
  • Sign off on all major project enhancements and releases.
  • Testing customer-facing web, client and mobile applications.
  • Developing, documenting, and exercising test scenarios for complex end-to-end use cases of a product.
  • Organizing test cases into test plans, performing tests, monitoring results and adapting.
  • Utilizing test case management tools such as TFS, adaptavist and others.
  • Leading other test engineers in manual testing of products.
  • Taking ownership when you encounter a problem, no matter the root cause.
  • 5+ years of manual testing experience
  • 1-2 years of leadership experience
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience mentoring and guiding more junior test engineers
An ideal candidate will also have the ability to learn new technologies quickly, and be able to ask for help, guidance, or knowledge from experts around you.
